COURTESY LISTING AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN SIERRA VISTA Name: Kaile Breed: German Shepherd Dog Age: 2 years Gender: Female/Spayed Weight: Approximately 45 lbs Location: Sierra Vista NO: kids, cats, small dogs Kaile was found on the streets of Tucson along with her mother. It was obvious they had both been feral for some time. She was thin, frail and in need of special care. Kailes mother was adopted soon after Kaile was pulled from the Pima County Shelter. At first Kaile was not willing to eat anything offered to her but eventually through patience and trust, Kaile began to eat all on her own. She is very small for a German Shepherd and it is believed that she is this small due to malnutrition. Kaile also has limited vision meaning she can see shapes, shadows and light but does not have the ability to pick up on details. Due to her limited vision she has a tendency to be a little clumsy and pushy with her owner or other dogs. Her vision does not affect her ability to eat, use the dog door or play though. Although kennel tolerant, Kaile rather spend time with her humans and will spend hours in the backyard whether it is sunny or dark out. During the winter she rather be curled up with her human or nestled on a bed in the same room. She likes to greet you in the morning by giving kisses with her wet nose and nuzzling your face. She will tell you all about her dreams when you wake and her day if you have been gone for a bit. She is very happy and likes to tell you as much. Kaile has a prey drive so a home without dogs smaller than her, without cats or children is essential. She gets along best with dogs her size; a neutered male would be ideal. Kaile enjoys going for car rides, neighborhood walks and playing ball in the backyard. She is not an ideal candidate for the dog park and therefore requires a home with a backyard.
